The USAF A-10 demo team from Davis-Monthan AFB, Arizona retiurned to Abbotsford in 2000. There
were two aircraft, the demo aircraft (79-0210) and the support aircraft (79-0174). Although
unscheduled, the A-10 joined up with a P-51 Mustang to perform the Heritage Flight
demonstration. The Heritage Flight was flown on Sunday only and was quite a surprise to me as it
was totally unexpected. The P-51 flew in for the flybys and left immediately afterwards.

KC-10A Extender (86-0032) from Travis AFB, California

B-1B Lancer (85-0081) from McConnell AFB, Kansas. This B-1 carried "Aftershock" art on the
fuselage. On Monday, the B-1 flew over the airport with wings swept back and the vapour was
incredible. Unfortunately, it was quite far away so the picture is somewhat distant.

This was the first appearance of a C-17 Globemaster at Abbotsford. This aircraft (99-0063),
from McChord AFB, was nearly brand new; it had less than 80 hours of active duty when it came to
Abbotsford.
